The American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) is proud to announce a new relationship with MedSposal, a full-service provider of cost-effective, convenient and environmentally-sensitive solutions for the proper management of used sharps and other medical waste. They will be donating 5% of the proceeds generated through a new cause marketing campaign, BE SHARPS SMART. This partnership is aimed at educating veterinarians on a new sharps disposal process that is Easy, Smart and Green and will support all AVMF programs that embrace and advance the well-being and medical care of animals.

 

 

How does it work?

 

The system is shipped to you where you fill, package and mail it back to us for proper disposal. Each of our systems include:

Sharps Container

USPS/UPS approved return box

Protective bag liners

Bar code tracking

Destruction manifest

 

When container is full, sharps container is placed in the pre-paid postage return box, and mailed to us for proper destruction. Our medical waste is converted into an industrial resource.....and out of our nation's landfills.

 

Specifications: Choose the sizes that fit your needs--1 qt. to 30 gallon. When container is full, just follow the instructions, seal the individual components and complete the required tracking documentation. Then take the package to any US Post Office or UPS for larger units.

 

Note: All boxes and documents must be accounted for; do not throw away. Program becomes null and void if any are missing.
